North Star Recycling and the Wuxi Institute of Science Technology Innovation at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University establishing a joint laboratory for intelligent green equipment

On the morning of December 20th, the signing and unveiling ceremony of the cooperation project between the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Wuxi Science and Technology Innovation Research Institute and the university was successfully held in the Airport Economic Development Zone. Sun Lei, Deputy Director of the Wuxi High tech Zone Management Committee and Deputy District Chief of Xinwu District, Zhao Ruheng, Vice President of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Zhang Hong, member of the Party Group of Xinwu District Government and head of the Wuxi Integrated Circuit Industry Technology Mayor's Group, Wan Jiang, Director of the Science and Technology Bureau of Wuxi High tech Zone (Xinwu District), Chen Weiliang, Secretary of the Party Working Committee, Director of the Management Committee, and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Shuofang Street of the Airport Economic Development Zone, as well as heads of relevant departments of Wuxi High tech Zone and Airport Economic Development Zone, representatives of relevant universities and enterprises, and more than 50 people participated in the event.

In this event, the Wuxi Institute of Science and Technology Innovation at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University successfully signed and unveiled a contract with Beichen Advanced Recycling Technology (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. to establish an intelligent green equipment joint laboratory with Beichen Recycling. The aim is to strengthen school enterprise cooperation to cultivate high-end application technology talents for industrial needs, serve national strategic needs, and promote industrial development.

Since its opening in November 2023, the Wuxi Institute of Science and Technology Innovation at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University has gradually entered the right track in physical operations such as infrastructure construction, team building, and student recruitment. The successful holding of the signing and unveiling ceremony marks a new stage of development for the campus cooperation between Wuxi High tech Zone, Airport Economic Development Zone, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Before the event, they visited the Wuxi Institute of Science and Technology Innovation at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with the accompaniment of the school. The exhibition hall showcased research achievements such as human-machine collaborative manufacturing systems, intelligent product service systems, industrial artificial intelligence, unmanned vehicles, and unmanned aerial vehicle linkage equipment.
