Following a rigorous evaluation process organized by the Qingdao Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, North Star Advanced Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "North Star Recycling") has been officially designated as a 2025 Qingdao Outstanding Postdoctoral Workstation.

This recognition as an Outstanding Unit demonstrates the Qingdao municipal government and expert panel's endorsement of North Star Recycling's research innovation capabilities and growth potential. It establishes a solid foundation for the company to undertake future scientific research projects, cultivate high-caliber corporate talent, and drive innovative R&D initiatives.

Dr. Feng Yi has officially commenced his postdoctoral research at North Star Recycling's Innovation Practice Base, under a joint cultivation program with Central South University's Mining Engineering Mobile Station. Specializing in process engineering, Dr. Feng will focus on recycling emerging solid wastes including end-of-life lithium-ion batteries and decommissioned photovoltaic modules.

In October of the same year, North Star Recycling's Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base was officially approved as a Shandong Provincial Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base. Leveraging corporate technological advantages and policy support, the base collaborates with universities to jointly cultivate postdoctoral researchers and conduct technological innovation practices, promoting the integration of industry, academia, research and application to accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Focusing on the R&D of low-carbon recycling technologies for emerging industrial waste, the base has established an innovation platform integrating "industry-academia-research-application".
