Ignite green dreams! 26 "young creators of carbon exploration" embark on a fantastic research trip at North Star Recycling.

A Wonderful Green Journey

 

On July 19, 2025, bathed in warm sunshine and gentle breeze, the summer research activity "Carbon Explorers Alliance – Green Future Visionaries"—filled with exploration and creativity—concluded successfully at the North Star Recycling Advanced Circular Technology Research Institute!

Meticulously organized by North Star Recycling Advanced Circular Technology (Qingdao) Co., Ltd., the event engaged 26 outstanding teenagers from 21 schools  nationwide (including 21 children of employees and 5 social welfare participants).

In just one day, these "young creators of carbon exploration" witnessed the magic of transforming waste into treasures, touched cutting-edge technology firsthand, and painted their envisioned green future with boundless creativity. Wide-eyed wonder, bubbling excitement, and insatiable curiosity radiated from every young face—the seed of a "green dream" had sprouted in their hearts!

 

Gathering Diverse Brilliance

01 Convergence & Embarkation

 

The journey began with bright-eyed children in distinctive school uniforms signing in energetically. Name tags marked the start of their identities as green explorers.

A solemn and dignified national flag-raising ceremony, accompanied by the anthem, set a noble tone for this scientific and environmental voyage.

 

 

 

02 Bonding & Unveiling

 

After random grouping, the three small teams quickly bonded and captured vibrant group photos. They then eagerly set off on an exploratory tour route brimming with technological marvels!

 

 

Guided by professional docents, the children entered North Star Recycling’s technology exhibition hall. Through vivid models and clear process displays, they discovered answers to pressing questions: How are lithium batteries safely crushed while charged? How are resources efficiently recycled?  

 

 

  

03 Interactive Exploration

Under strict safety protocols and accompanied by experts, the children toured the smart workshop. They witnessed the moment waste batteries entered production lines, feeling the awe of industrial pulse.
Even more thrilling was their chance to operate North Star Recycling’s self-developed smart inspection robots. Technology truly "came alive" at their fingertips!

   

 

 

    

04 Magic Experiments

In the physical-chemistry lab, researchers transformed into "science wizards", showcasing mesmerizing experiments:

• Enchanting oil-water separation

• Towering "elephant toothpaste"

• Instant "magic message" revelations

• Daring flame palms

• Self-inflating balloons

Children watched wide-eyed, learning the science behind each experiment before diving into hands-on participation. Their joy overflowed upon receiving customized iodine-revealed cards—bearing blessings like "Future Tsinghua/Harvard Student" and "Perfect Score!"—with adorable doodles from lab staff. 

 

 

   

  

Wisdom Sparks  & Soaring Ideas

05 Doctors on Call!

Post-lunch, four young Ph.D. scholars—from Tsinghua University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Australia’s Newcastle University, and China University of Mining and Technology—faced a barrage of imaginative questions:

"Can we turn CO₂ into useful things?"
"Is robot tech why electrolytes are handled safely?"

The doctors admitted being "sweating bullets" amid roaring laughter and applause.
Later, Dr. Zhang Tao—Chairman and General Manager of North Star Recycling—shared his scientific journey and eco-philosophy through humorous storytelling, urging children to "stay curious, study hard, and become world-changers." 

 

 

 

 

06 Green Future Visionaries 

 

  

The climax arrived as children morphed into mini-designers, translating dreams onto canvas:

• Flower-covered Earth

• Precision-geared mountains and rivers

• Waste-transforming robots

• Giant ships sailing through emerald landscapes

• Digital homes draped in greenery

After timed creation, they confidently presented their visions, each painting shimmering with childlike wonder and love for our planet.

  

 

 

 

   

07 Honors Ceremony

In a solemn closing ritual, three Ph.D. scholars awarded each team "Green Future Visionary" certificates—recognizing their day-long immersion, passion for green tech, creative problem-solving, and commitment to sustainable action.
